Brand Story

Naoya Hida worked for decades in the watch industry, establishing F.P. Journe’s presence in Japan. In 2018, he founded his own brand to build the watch he had always wanted to buy: a vintage-proportioned dress watch with unmatched dial depth. The brand debuted its first model in 2019, quickly gaining a cult following among watch enthusiasts globally.

Design Language

The brand’s design language is defined by the golden age of dress watches (1930s-1950s). Dials are made from German silver, featuring hand-carved Breguet numerals that are filled with black lacquer. Hands are thick, spade-shaped, and heat-blued to a deep purple-blue.

Movements & Manufacturing

Naoya Hida utilizes highly reliable ETA/Valjoux base manual-wind movements, which they extensively modify in-house. They fabricate custom bridges, click springs, and winding mechanisms to give the watches a heavy, tactile winding click reminiscent of vintage pocket watches.

Notable Models

Type 1 is a highlight of their production line.

Why Enthusiasts Care

Naoya Hida watches offer a unique blend of Japanese precision engineering and vintage Swiss dress aesthetics. Their production is extremely limited (fewer than 100 pieces per year), making them highly exclusive and prized by collectors who appreciate micro-detail finishing.
