Brand Story
Czapek & Cie was originally founded in 1845 by Polish watchmaker François Czapek (a former partner of Antoni Patek). The brand was revived in Geneva in 2015 by Xavier de Roquemaurel and a group of watch collectors, funding the launch through equity crowdfunding. Czapek has quickly risen to prominence in the luxury independent space, famous for their in-house mechanical design and artisanal dial work.
Design Language
Czapek’s aesthetic bridges classical watchmaking and modern lines. Their integrated sports watch, the Antarctique, features fluid case curves, a C-shaped link bracelet, and high-visibility dials with flinqué or hand-grained finishes.
Movements & Manufacturing
Czapek designs and manufactures their own movements, such as the SXH5 automatic caliber, which features a platinum micro-rotor, seven skeletonized bridges, and exceptional hand-bevelling, visible through the caseback.
Notable Models
The Antarctique is their highly sought-after integrated sports watch with a micro-rotor caliber, and the Quai des Bergues represents a classic dress watch with a double-barrel manual-wind movement.
Why Enthusiasts Care
Czapek offers collectors access to genuine independent manufacture watchmaking with incredible movement finishing. Their community-funded structure and design innovation make them one of the most exciting luxury independents.
