Brand Story
Founder Rémi Maillat is a micro-mechanical engineer who worked behind the scenes designing movements for top Swiss brands. In 2013, he founded Krayon. He introduced the groundbreaking ‘Everywhere’ watch in 2017, which allowed mechanical adjustment of latitude, longitude, and timezone. In 2020, Krayon launched the ‘Anywhere’ watch, which is calibrated in-house to the owner’s chosen location.
Design Language
Krayon’s design revolves around a central clock dial surrounded by a rotating outer ring with color-coded day and night segments. The boundary lines change shape throughout the year, showing the changing length of daylight.
Movements & Manufacturing
The movements are extremely complex mechanical calculators. They utilize differential gears, cams, and miniature feelers to translate seasonal shifts into a shifting color display. The finishing features high-grade anglage, wave patterns, and hand-polished screw heads.
Notable Models
Everywhere is a highlight of their production line.
Why Enthusiasts Care
Krayon’s complication is entirely unique in the history of horology. By mechanically rendering the rhythm of local daylight, Krayon provides an deeply poetic, astronomical connection to the wrist, executed with uncompromising Swiss haute horlogerie design.
